Our Team

Our team has combined experience in disability services, mental health, NDIS planning, support coordination, business development, law and commerce, dispute resolution, marketing and communication. We are strategically designing a future of growth, creating employment opportunities, engaging in technology, and providing practical and innovative support to people with disability. We are a team driven by the same purpose: people helping people.

Barbara (Barb) Lightburn

Founder and Director

Barbara Lightburn is the Founder and Director of My Ability Pathway (MAP), an organisation built on the belief that people with disability deserve to live a life of their choosing - connected, purposeful, and enriched by what they love.

With more than 30 years' experience across community services, economic development, and regional growth, Barbara brings together deep sector knowledge and heartfelt leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Dispute Resolution, and postgraduate studies in Positive Behaviour Support.

Barbara's leadership philosophy is grounded in emotional intelligence and hands-on collaboration. She walks alongside her team - not ahead of them - building a culture that is Helpful, Active, Connected, Adaptive, and Supportive.

Under her direction, MAP has become known for delivering high-quality NDIS supports while fostering economic stability, personal growth, and wellbeing for both clients and employees.

Barbara is a courageous and reflective leader who believes that the way we work is just as important as the outcomes we deliver - and that clarity, compassion, and curiosity are the true markers of leadership maturity.

Charlotte Williams

General Manager

Charlotte’s desire to be a part of a community organisation where decision making achieves the best outcomes for individuals led her to the role of General Manager at My Ability Pathway (MAP). Armed with a Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Diploma in Social Science, Charlotte brings extensive skills and experience in business development and planning, communications, brand management and marketing. This, combined with her strong sense of justice and diplomatic relationship management, makes her the ideal person to lead the team at MAP. Charlotte’s approach is thoughtful, considered and balanced, yet she is outgoing, approachable and optimistic. Charlotte will greet you with a smile, listen intently and create a sense of warmth and confidence in any situation.

Nicole Martin

Finance and Systems Coordinator

With an eye for detail, Nicole brings a flare for numbers and a penchant for processes to the MAP team. Her experience in customer service, natural warmth and kindness has fashioned her people-first approach. Since starting with MAP in a data entry role, Nicole's responsibilities and capacity have expanded across financial management, administration and systems management. Her proficiency keeps the wheels rolling and supports MAP's more comprehensive picture of exceptional service delivery.

Sally Kennedy

Team Leader and Incident Management

Sally has always understood that every person’s experience is different and unique, as are their goals and wants for their lives. Combined with her expertise in the disability sector, which includes roles as Resource and Development Officer, House Manager and community support, she has developed into a genuinely person-centred Team Leader. Sally engages intently to understand individuals so she can design the supports that give them the best opportunity to live an enriched life. Her interest in Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and younger onset dementia has seen Sally undertake a Diploma in Dementia Care. Sally is gentle by nature. She listens to understand and is deliberate in her approach, with an unwavering determination to achieve the best outcomes for people with disability.

 

Sue Irving

Service Delivery Manager

Bringing over 25 years of experience in the disability sector, Sue’s journey began when caring for both her parents with dementia, inspiring a lifelong commitment to supporting people with diverse needs. She has worked across all ages, gaining invaluable experience with children and adults, and has developed strong skills navigating the NDIS and allied health services. Known for her calm, empathetic approach and subtle cheekiness, she acts as a trusted point-of-contact for clients, helping them achieve their goals while fostering a supportive and welcoming workplace for her team. She finds it deeply rewarding to see participants reach their milestones and is committed to enabling people to live their best lives.

Carmen Bliss

Team Mentor

With over 15 years’ experience in a counselling role, Carmen Bliss has an open approach, working closely with staff to create success in achieving their professional and personal goals. Carmen excels at engaging with people, taking the time to truly understand them and their needs. Her compassionate approach and ability to connect with staff ensure that they receive personalised, effective support. Carmen's expertise in coordinating services and guiding her team make her an invaluable asset to the MAP Support Coordination and Disability services.

 

Skye Hueppauff

Workforce Planner

With over 25 years of experience in the franchising industry, Skye has worked across legal and compliance, finance, debt recovery, and administration. Her sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills make her a steady and reliable support to the team. Skye enjoys helping operations run smoothly - whether managing schedules, streamlining processes, or supporting data-driven decision-making. Known for her calm and practical approach to problem-solving, she thrives working behind the scenes to keep everything on track. Outside of work, Skye can be found on the golf course or spending time with her family enjoying all things sport.

Subigya (Subi) Uprety

SIL Accommodation Leader

Subi’s upbringing in a family environment with his grandparents sparked a natural passion for supporting older people and those with disability. He strengthened his knowledge with a Certificate IV in Disability and a Diploma of Community Services, and continues to expand his expertise in Dementia Care. Subi has been with My Ability Pathway for three years, starting as a Support Worker and now leading the Accommodation Services team. He oversees the daily operation of the SIL house, supports clients directly, and works closely with key workers and Sally to ensure all support is thoughtful, client-focused, and of the highest quality.

Alanna Felby

Executive Assistant

Empathetic, warm and professional, Alanna is passionate about inclusion and equality for all people, balancing a compassionate nature with a meticulous work ethic. Nearing twenty years' experience working with vulnerable people, along with lived experience of invisible disability, Alanna is intensely knowledgeable about the barriers people may face. Dedicated to helping overcome them, Alanna is invested in supporting people to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. Excelling wherever xe applies xerself, Alanna’s adaptive strengths support exceptional outcomes for complex Support Coordination clients while ensuring high-quality administrative and operational running as Executive Assistant.

 

Jacqui D’Silva

Human Resources/People and Culture

Jacqui’s people-focused approach and passion for connection are at the heart of her work. She brings extensive experience in Human Resources, gained both internationally and in Australia, and a strong understanding of the disability sector through her personal experience supporting NDIS participants to enhance their daily lives. This lived experience provides valuable insight into the supports team members need to achieve meaningful outcomes for clients. With warmth and positivity, Jacqui fosters an open, collaborative environment where everyone feels heard and encouraged to grow. Her genuine care for people underpins everything she does at My Ability Pathway.

 
 

Clair Halkias

Marketing and PR Coordinator

Clair brings a strong background in digital strategy and storytelling, with a passion for turning ideas into engaging content that truly connects. She is excited to highlight the meaningful work of the team and the people My Ability Pathway supports. Outside of work, Clair enjoys exploring new ways to engage communities and create positive impact. She believes in the power of authentic connections and is committed to amplifying the voice and mission of My Ability Pathway, ensuring the stories and successes of participants and staff are celebrated and communicated with clarity and heart.

 
 

Beth Christensen

Support Coordinator

Beth began her career in 1987 after completing a Certificate III in Care Attendant at Minda. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science and an Associate Degree in Social Science (Disability Services) and has taught across several Registered Training Organisations, sharing her industry expertise. With decades of experience in disability and community services, Beth has accompanied clients overseas, overseen Queensland government-funded programs, and trained support workers at TAFE. She has also worked in NDIS case management and brings deep personal insight from caring for family members through dementia and palliative care, always focused on empowering people to live independently.

 
 

Reta Cousins-Bray

Administration Coordinator

With over 30 years of experience in the community sector, Reta has worked across mental health, social inclusion, aged care, domestic violence, and disability. She holds qualifications in Disability, Aged Care, and Health and Leisure, and is also certified to deliver seated exercise programs for people with physical limitations. Since joining My Ability Pathway in May 2024 as Administration Coordinator, Reta has provided invaluable support to the Disability Services team through her strong organisational skills and person-centred approach. Known for her warmth, empathy, and inclusiveness, she is passionate about ensuring every individual is heard and supported to live life fully.
